Dream reader: Who are you?

Today’s Assignment: publish a post for your dream reader, and include a new-to-you element in it.

This one is causing me some trouble. After spending a day at work worrying about it I’m just going to think onto the page and post it. Here we go:

I don’t think I have a dream reader.

Sure, I imagine that newbie sewing bees are among the people most likely to gain something from this blog (sometimes I worry that more experienced crafty people will look and think well of course that’s how you do that and I’ll seem silly).

But I still want them to read, to enjoy along with me. They may find it endearing and nostalgic. Or maybe be able to help…

I would like readers who praise, challenge, critique and like my writing.

But none of these are specifically singularly what I would call a dream reader.

I think my dream reader is an amalgamation of all of this. My dream reader is someone who perseveres through my rambles to find some gold in there somewhere.

My dream reader is you, if you’ve managed to make it this far into this godawful internal discussion of mine and are still interested in what I have to say.

So I would like to say to you, dream reader, just this: hello, it’s nice to meet you.

P.s. Can my ‘try something new’ element be posting an entire stream of consciousness on this without picking it apart for days before I post?

oh look, and there’s a picture too! That must count…

  1. I think this is a great post!
I had trouble with this prompt too…so I sort of blew it off (I’ve always been a model student).
Ha, and throwing a photo in ALWAYS makes a blog post better! 🙂
