November is nearly upon us, which means it’s nearly time for NaBloPoMo (and NaNoWriMo! But I am definitely not up for writing a novel next month!).
As far as I can interpret, National Blog Posting Month is a blog event in which participants commit to posting every day for the entirety of the month. While this goes on year-round, November is the big-man, well-known period of time. Have I got that right?
I’m undecided as to whether to participate or not. I’m excited to have the motivation to post more frequently (while I’ve done pretty well keeping up with “I Made That!” Mondays, I feel I’ve waned in other posts a little in the wake of blogging 101). I think the commitment of signing up to post every day for a month would be good for me, but I also don’t want to overwhelm my followers with a bunch of posts. Especially as posting something different every day worries me in terms of their quality, what if I post thirty times, but only eight of them are any good? I’m not sure I want to post a month’s worth of potential tat. But then I guess anything I post has that worry attached to it!
I considered varying it a little, posting photos and quotes for some days instead of a month full of long prose-style posts.
Has anyone participated in NaBloPoMo before? How did you find it? Did these things worry you?
