This has been a really lovely week. With so much to choose from it was tough picking my Weekly Small Pleasures!
If you want to get involved, Weekly Small Pleasures is a blog event hosted by Mani over at A New Life Wandering and each week she leads the way in sharing those little things that have made us happy this week. I really like taking part in this event as it’s a nice way to share my weekly happiness with people reading my blog. It’s also an awesome pick-me-up way to remind myself of the lovely little things I’ve enjoyed throughout the week, it makes me much happier if I’m down.
So what made me happy this week?
1. Homemade Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and mini marshmallows. As a treat because it’s getting cold I bought cream and marshmallows and had
one a few of these whilst sat inside in the warm watching the poor, cold suckers wandering around in the freezing wet rainy evening. Soooooo yummy.
2. This week marks one year since The Boy and I signed for the keys and moved into our first flat together. It feels like it’s been so much longer than that that we’ve been cohabiting, like was that only a year ago? But on the other hand I also feel like wow, that’s been a whole year. Tricky thing, time passing.
Also I’d bloody love it if The Boy picked up his socks. Alas as yet, it still falls to me.
3. Bonfire night! Remember remember the 5th of November. Don’t look too closely at the fact that we, as the UK, celebrate a plot to blow up the House of Lords and King James I. Or are we celebrating the foiling of that plot? Why on earth do we blow things up to celebrate something not blowing up?
Regardless, it’s a night for bonfires, sparklers and beautiful fireworks. I love fireworks, the really big ones you can feel in your chest when they go bang. We had a lovely (cold) evening watching fireworks and eating hotdogs on Wednesday night. So pretty.
