Weekly Small Pleasures

Weekly Small Pleasures *9*

I’m getting back on the blogging train by joining in again with Weekly Small Pleasures, a blog event hosted by Mani over at A New Life Wandering.

Weekly Small Pleasures is all about sharing the little happy things of the past week. It’s nice to focus on the good bits and to go into the next week feeling positive!

So what made me happy this week?

1. Getting my 50’s on

A friend and I went to a recreation of the Enchantment Under The Sea dance for Back To The Future’s 30th anniversary this year. All money taken went to a Parkinson’s research charity. I love those films; it was so much fun and just a lovely night to be a part of. Plus I do love a bit of dressing up!

2. Amazing housewarming presents.

This week I was gifted these beautiful framed Harry Potter quotes as a housewarming present from a lovely friend. They’re so cute and decorative that The Boy let me hang them going up the stairs straight away. I love them!

Crafty Corner

3. My crafty corner

This week I made a concerted effort to unpack and organise my little corner of the universe. I love having this little space to do my sewing and crafty stuff! It’s finally all finished and put away neatly, so I guess it’s time to get started making it messy and doing some fun stuff!

Those are my Small Pleasures! What little things made you smile? Check out other people’s Small Pleasures via the tag or head over to A New Life Wandering to see Mani’s posts!

  1. So nice to have a clean, organized space to work in; I try to get there in between projects since things tend to go to hell while I’m in the middle of making something. You look so pretty in your picture and the dance sounds like great fun!

  2. Hayley, you look so pretty! I love you in polka dots. I also love those housewarming beauties. My step son hasn’t seen all the Harry Potter’s, and neither have I (if you can believe that), so we’re working through them, and I now have a new respect for the stories. So now I sort of get some of those references which makes me happy! Love that these things have made you smile this week. I want more! xoxo

    1. Thank you so much! I love polka dots! Oh wow! I love that series so much, I even have a HP tattoo. (I refuse to be ashamed of my love for something that shaped my childhood!) I really hope you (both) enjoy the films, they’re amazing. If you do, you should definitely visit the studios in London: amazing!. Thanks for the kind words as always chick! 🙂 xx
