If you’ve not come across it yet, Weekly Small Pleasures is a cute little blog event hosted by Mani at A New Life Wandering. Each week, she and others share the little things that have made them happy. It’s good to look back at the week and focus on the good things!
So what made me happy this week?
1. A visit to London
Last weekend I travelled down to our wonderful capital city to catch up with some university friends. It was so nice to see them – doesn’t happen enough! We went a-wandering around the Winter Wonderland Christmas fair set up in Hyde Park, which was beautiful!
I drank several mugs of hot chocolate laced with Bailey’s – my favourite festive tipple, and we saw some lovely ice sculptures. I recommend visiting the attraction if you’re around London, it’s on until 3rd January so plenty of time over the Christmas period!
Speaking of recommendations, we also tried out Bunny Chow in Soho, an amazing South-African-street-food-turned-eatery that serves it’s meals inside of hollowed out bread loaves. It was glorious.
2. A hot chocolate date
The Boy and I did some jobs around town and stopped for an amazing White Hot Chocolate from Costa. It was nice to sit in the warm together and enjoy a drink, people-watching is more fun with two!
3. A gorgeous new notice board!
A short while ago I won a giveaway over at Organising Chaos. The lovely Itzi sent me a beautiful handmade noticeboard! This week I put it up in my creative corner and it looks amazing! I’m using it to hold my bits’n’bobs, like theatre and cinema tickets, photobooth prints and paint swatches for potential kitchen colours!
I just love the vibrant fabric it’s made of, and it’s beautifully put together!
If you fancy one yourself check out Itzi’s Etsy shop, it’s a lovely idea for a Christmas gift! This one made my week to put up! Thank you Itzi!
Those are my small pleasures from this past week! What are yours? What made you smile?
